Back to School Beauty Essentials

When August comes around, Back to School is a topic that is dominating the commercials on TV and the Radio and in stores. When you think of Back to School, you think of your school supplies and the subjects you will be learning throughout the year. As a young girl in high school (which was 6-7 years ago); I didn't wear that much makeup. Nowadays, almost every girl in high school wears makeup.

I have a few beauty products I can recommend, to achieve an easy beauty morning routine to get ready in less than 10 minutes. So, it's quick and easy to do in the morning and you can get on with the rest of your prep in the morning.

Skincare
I know that this pretty much preaching to the choir here; but you must start off any morning routine, you must at least Cleanse and Moisturize your face before applying makeup. The 2 Products I recommend are the Simple Foaming Cleanser and the Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Creme.
The Simple Foaming Cleanser is easy to use; because you just need to apply a pump onto a wet wash cloth and do small circular motions on your face to cleanse thoroughly. Then, just rinse off with a wet cloth and pat your face dry.
As for the Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Creme; I use this moisturizer because it is easy to apply and it absorbs into your skin in seconds. This moisturizer may be a bit pricey, but if you are able to find a quick-absorbing moisturizer (like the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel), you are pretty much set.

Makeup
As for Makeup, it is totally up to you what you want to do. You may not always have time to do your makeup; and that's where I say "Go Without!" But if you want to put some on; here are some products for you to achieve an easy makeup look.
First, Foundation or a Tinted Moisturizer is a good way to start. I prefer to wear Foundation and the one I Love to wear is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. I like this foundation because it is easy to apply and blend. It gives a Moderate coverage with a natural finish, which looks like you are barely wearing it.
Concealer is used to conceal any imperfections that the foundation can't cover. I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up or the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer. Both offer great coverage and stay on all day.
Contour? Bronze? Blush? Highlight? It's up to you if you have a bit more time to get ready. Personally, I prefer Contour and Highlight; and there is a product I use that does both. It is the NYX Contour & Highlight Stick in 01 Fair. They are cream products, so you blend them like foundation with a brush or a beauty sponge. I really like the way this product works; because you just trace where you want definition and blend it.
After, you move on to brown, and your best bet is to use a brow gel to shape your brows quickly. I use the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara or the Benefit Gimme Brow. Both do a great job, and the product stays on all day.
If you are in a rush, forget the Eyeshadow and Eyeliner and go straight to Mascara. I have a few that I  like that don't take long to apply and give lots of Volume and Length. The Maybelline Lash Sensational has been a favourite of mine since it came out. Also, I like the Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara, it makes your lashes look long and full of volume.
And Finally; let's not forget the lipstick. I prefer the matte lipsticks these days. They are easy to apply and stay on pretty well throughout the day. Here are a few I prefer to use. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in the colours Istanbul or Zurich and The Rimmel One and Only Matte Lipstick in High Flyer. If you have no time for lipstick, you can always use a tinted lip balm to give your lips a bit of colour, I prefer the Burt's Bees tinted lip balms.

There you go! These are my Back to School Beauty Essentials. I hope you liked this post. I was inspired by the fact that I have some family members and friends who are starting college/university or still attending high school; and I wanted to dedicate this post to them and to wish them luck for the beginning of their School year. I hope these tips will help you get ready quicker in the mornings.
Have a great rest of your weekend!

I will talk about some of my favorite books, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), food, and beauty items.   Books J'adore New York! by: Isabelle Laflèche . This book is an amazing mix of fashion, crime and love. I've read more than few times over the last few years. The character for Catherine is an amazing portrayal of a French woman's journey in America as a corporate lawyer. The story is really inspiring, showing that there are a lot of hard decisions to make in life, work and especially in love. It's the perfect book for women who have love of fashion and crime/law.
