New Year... New Me (Life Update 2019-2020)

Happy 2020 Everyone!! Summary of 2019 I know it's February and New year was last month, but it's been a couple of busy months. I haven't written blog posts since maybe 2018, but Life Happens. We were quite busy in 2019. We planned and attended our wedding reception. We went on a honeymoon to Quebec City. I decided to go in a new career direction and I applied to college. I got Accepted at Algonquin College in the Law Clerk Program for the Winter 2020 Courses. I finished off the year by quitting my job, spending time with my family and getting ready for school. We had a very busy 2019. Planning the Wedding Reception In the start of the year 2019, my Husband and I sat down and had a discussion about celebrating our Marriage. Since we had gotten married the year before, we didn't really have a Wedding reception. So, an idea popped into my head. I said: "What if we have a Marriage Celebration Reception close to our 1st Wedding Anniversary?", and m...

New Year, New Ideas

For the past few months, I have had a bit of writer's block.  So, I have had the time to think about new subjects, new things to write about.  I have been in search of inspiration, in anything I could find on social media, in magazines, books and even outside my usual train of thought.  And, that's exactly what I realized I had to do, step outside my comfort zone and find inspiration where I would least expect it. My Passion for the Fashion and Beauty Industry stems from reading publications like VOGUE, Harper's Bazzar, and Elle Canada, also from following them on Social Media like Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.  I get my inspiration from people who have influence in beauty, fashion, their careers, and their social media platforms. When I started writing this blog back in 2014, I wanted to write about Travel. Over the last 4 years, I changed it into a Lifestyle Blog so I could write about anything I wanted to; not only Travel but also things li...

Back to School Beauty Essentials

When August comes around, Back to School is a topic that is dominating the commercials on TV and the Radio and in stores. When you think of Back to School, you think of your school supplies and the subjects you will be learning throughout the year. As a young girl in high school (which was 6-7 years ago); I didn't wear that much makeup. Nowadays, almost every girl in high school wears makeup. I have a few beauty products I can recommend, to achieve an easy beauty morning routine to get ready in less than 10 minutes. So, it's quick and easy to do in the morning and you can get on with the rest of your prep in the morning. Skincare I know that this pretty much preaching to the choir here; but you must start off any morning routine, you must at least Cleanse and Moisturize your face before applying makeup. The 2 Products I recommend are the Simple Foaming Cleanser and the Bioderma Hydrabio Gel-Creme. The Simple Foaming Cleanser is easy to use; because you just need to apply...

Summer Lookbook 2017 (featuring The NAV Centre)

Last year, I wrote a blog post for a Fall Lookbook; and it happens to be one of my most visited posts since I started reading. This year I wanted to make a Lookbook for Summer 2017. I have had this idea for a while and now is the Perfect time to do this Lookbook! I have put together some outfits using certain key pieces from my wardrobe. As for the location, I decided to do have the photoshoot at the NAV Centre in Cornwall. The NAV Centre is a Hotel & Conference Centre that always seems to exceed expectations. This facility offers over 500 guest rooms, conference rooms, a restaurant with a patio in the stunning courtyard (the Propeller), a pub with a patio area (the Jet Set Pub), a spa (the NAV Spa), a fitness centre with a swimming pool (NAV Fit). I chose the NAV Centre because its extraordinary size is quite impressive; and its gardens and grounds are very beautiful.  Here is my Summer Lookbook: Look #1 Top: Tommy Hilfiger Shorts: Le Château Backpack: Longchamp...

Spring Beauty Essentials

Hi Everyone! It's Spring! So, put away those Winter Jumpers and get the Florals out! I always look forward to Spring; mainly because I get to put away my Winter clothes and take out my Spring and Summer Wardrobe. Also, I look forward to changing my Skincare and Makeup Products. I like to replenish my makeup collection with new products or go back to an old favourite.  Every Spring, I always have a few staples I like to stick to when it comes to Makeup. I call these my Spring Beauty Essentials. Here are a few of the products I will be using as my Essentials this Spring: A Full Coverage Foundation For the past few months, I have been using a full coverage foundation, and I Absolutely LOVE it! I have been using the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation . It is says on the bottle that it can last for 25 hours on your face, and I tested that theory and it is very long lasting. I wouldn't stay awake for 25 hours at a time to test it, but I bet it would work. It ...
