My top 10 Favorite Movies of all time

My Top 10 Favorite Movies

During my life, I have watched my fair share of movies. I've seen movie genres that varie from Action Thrillers to Romantic Comedies. I will admit; most of my favorite movies are Audrey Hepburn movies. I have been an Audrey fan for years, I have such an appreciation for the films she did. I wanted to write this post about my favorite movies because I love movies. So, let's start with #10 and work our way up to #1.

      10. Up
This animated film is absolutely amazing. It is an excellently animated film with a beautiful story about how fast life can catch up to you and how you should live it to the fullest. The plot of the story is about an elderly man who has just lost his wife and is stuck in a rut and is about to be sent to a retirement village. Until one day, a young boy scout knocks on his door and his life is turned upside down. He turns his tiny house into a flying home, his direction to South America in Paradise Falls. The story is so beautiful and funny, it has such a good message.

        9. Charade
This movie features the handsome and talented Cary Grant and my favorite actress of all time Audrey Hepburn. A thrilling movie about Regina Lampert (Hepburn) who finds out that her husband has been pushed off a moving train; but he has a secret. A secret worth 500,000$. A series of unfortunate events happens when three evil, dangerous go after Lampert to get the money. This movie is full action and mystery; I enjoyed watching it quite a lot.

         8. Eat, Pray, Love
An amazing journey of a woman trying to find herself. She decised to take a year off and travelling to Italy to learn Italian, eat pasta and have fun; India for a spiritual journey and finding herself; Indonesia to learn to Love herself before loving others. Elizabeth Gilbert is the author and wrote about her own experience about finding herself.

         7. Funny Face
This movie has a great cast of stars like Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson. The movie is a musical romantic-comedy; featuring songs like '' I Love Your Funny Face '' and '' He Loves and She Loves''. It is a beautiful about a Fashion Photographer (Astaire) who falls in love with a bookstore clerk turned model sensation (Hepburn).

         6. One Direction: This Is Us
This movie follows the UK band on their whirlwind Where We Are tour and you get behind-the-scenes look at how much work goes into a show. You get to see the guys go to amazing places, and peform their concert at the O2 Arena in London. You get to see how they got together and what they do their days off. I have to admit that I am a Big fan of One Direction, and when I saw this movie; I fell in love with the boys even more. Just seeing how fame isn't all that it's made to be.

         5. Sabrina
This movie is a total Cinderella story about a young girl who goes to Paris and comes back home a grown up young woman. Her return sparks a connection with both of the Larabee brothers. The Larabees are incredibly wealthy and Sabrina is the chauffeur's daughter. This causes quite the scandal when the family hears about David, one of the brothers and Sabrina dancing together at their own party. So, they send Linus, the older brother, to get rid of Sabrina. The problem is that he falls i love with her as well. This movie is beautiful and sweet, it made me realize how love always conquers all even family loyalty.

         4. Captain America: The First Avenger
This movie is about the first Marvel superhero: Captain America. The story of how a Brooklyn boy becomes a legendary hero during the Second World War. Steve Rogers is recruited to the army, and is put into an expiremental trial for a serum that will take him from a scrawny boy to a very strong man. He is now sent to Europe, where he will figh to defeat the Red Skull. This film is full of action and suspense. It is, so far, my favorite movie of all the Marvel comics.

         3. Roman Holiday
This movies features the handsome actor Gregory Peck and introduces Audrey Hepburn. This movie is the first big motion picture that Audrey Hepburn had ever done. She plays a young Princess who is bored of her royal duties and escapes for a good 24 hours. Peck plays an American journalist who falls in love with the young princess. This story is romantic, funny and witty. It awarded Audrey Hepburn with her very first and well-deserved Oscar/Academy Award.

         2.  Divergent
This movie is about a futuristic world after a war. The city of Chicago is now seperated into 5 factions: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Each faction contributes to the city. At the decision ceremony, Tris chooses to be Dauntless. She leaves her family behind and joins her faction. Problems arise when Tris finds out that she finds out she is Divergent, and that the Erudite are planning something terrible. I have read this book and I have recently finished reading the second book called Insurgent; which comes to theaters on March 20th, 2015.

         1. Breakfast at Tiffany's
This movie features Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, and Patricia Neal. Audrey plays Holly Gollightly, who is a woman living in New York and goes out with men almost every night and receives 50$ for ''the powder room''. Peppard plays Paul Varjak, an writer that just moved to New York and falls in love with Holy after meeting her for the first time. The story is inpeccably written and features the work of Henry Mancini, who wrote the theme for Breakfast at Tiffany's: Moon River. This movie is the first Audrey film I saw, and it was for a school project. Regardless, this movie is my ultimate favorite because it cheers me up and makes me realize that Audrey was an iconic choice to play Holly.

So, those are my Top 10 favorite movies of all time. I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and don't forget to like and leave a comment.
